The nature of the group does not normally require us to keep any information regarding anyone who contacts us.
Personal data relates to information that could identify an individuals
In most circumstances, the only information that we have regarding attendees of the group or anyone making a query is contact details such as
• Email addresses
• Telephone numbers
Normally these will be permanently deleted with 28 days of receipt and will not be passed onto other organisations
Bristol ED Peer Support Group does not normally keep records of any details of attendees. However, should occasion arise when this becomes necessary, for example, should concerns be raised about the well-being of any individual, we will adhere to the following procedures.
The reasons for needing to pass on contact details will be clearly discussed with the individual(s) concerned at the earliest possible opportunity. This would include:
• A clear explanation as to why information needs to be passed on.
• Clear details as to who this information needs to shared with.
• An explanation as the likely outcome of information being shared.
General Data Protection Regulation (EU Regulation 2016/679).
Information about individuals will be
• Obtained and processed fairly and lawfully.
• Held only for specified purposes.
• Adequate, relevant and not excessive.
• Accurate and up to date.
• Not kept longer than necessary.
• Processed in accordance with the Act.
• Kept secure and protected. This may be on paper kept in a locked cabinet or securely protected electronic form
• The information would be only available to be viewed by the group leader and facilitators.
You have a right to request to see or have copies of any information held in regard to you. A request should be putting in writing the Data Controller via email bristoledgroup@yahoo.com.
